The abbreviation “AR” has been wrongly translated into the generic term “Assault Rifle” by many. The AR in “AR-15” stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the manufacturer that developed it in the 1950s. “AR” does NOT stand for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.” AR-15-style rifles are NOT “assault rifles.” As a proud supporter of the Second Ammendment, this shirt says it all.. AR means it is your American Right to own whatever you want within the confines of the law. Say it loud, say it Proud.
